Continuing Education FAQs

Neurodiversity Alliance is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Neurodiversity Alliance maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Neurodiversity Alliance has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7510. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Neurodiversity Alliance is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Getting Your CE Credits

  • After completing the live, in-person training, we will create and email your CE certificate within five (5) business days of completing the training.

  • After attending a live virtual CE training, you will receive a link to a post-program assessment. Upon completion and submission of the assessment, your certificate will be sent to you. Please reach out to Hannah Haedike-Swift, CE Program Coordinator if you haven’t received it.

  • After completing your online training, you must complete all videos and pass the quiz with 80% or higher. After completing these tasks, a certificate will be generated in the online learning platform. You may download it there at any time; additionally, your certificate will be emailed to the email address used to register for the course.

  • Continuing education requirements vary by state, licensing board, and professional designation. While this program is approved for APA and NBCC continuing education credit, many state licensing boards and professional organizations (including those regulating LMFTs, LCSWs, and other allied mental health professionals) accept APA-approved or NBCC-approved continuing education toward license renewal.

Participants are encouraged to review their individual state board or professional association requirements to determine whether this program meets their renewal criteria. If you are unsure whether APA or NBCC continuing education is accepted for your license, we recommend confirming with your licensing board prior to registration.

  • We maintain records for three years after program completion and can provide verification if needed.

Attendance and Participation

  • You must attend the entire live program to receive CE credit. If you miss any portion, you may be eligible for the self-study version if available.

  • You must watch at least 95% of each video segment to progress through the program, then complete a learning assessment. The platform tracks your progress automatically. Once you’ve completed your course and passed the learning assessment, your certificate will be provided to you.

  • Yes, the APA requires a learning assessment to measure mastery of the objectives set forth in the training before issuing a CE certificate. You must pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher.

  • Neurodiversity University® / Neurodiversity Alliance is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and the National Board of Certified Counselors. Neurodiversity University®/ Neurodiversity Alliance will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content and in the treatment of program participants.

While Neurodiversity University®/ Neurodiversity Alliance goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues which come to the attention of the staff which require intervention and/or action on the part of the staff. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances.

When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance and expects action on the complaint, the following actions will be taken.

If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put their comments in written format. The Program Coordinator will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.

If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the Program Coordinator will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the convention chair will:

    a) attempt to move the participant to another workshop or
    b) provide a credit for a subsequent year's workshop or
    c) provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

Actions b and c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.
